On November 5th, the San Francisco Chase Center will be taken over by the League of Legends (LOL) fan community to watch the final battle of one of the world’s biggest eSports championships.
The Worlds 2022 is the pinnacle of the competitive League of Legends (LoL) scene, where the best teams from different regions around the globe compete for the World Championship title. Twenty-four teams must face each other in the tournament to determine which one is the best in the world.
Before the two finalist teams face off to battle for the coveted World’s trophy, the event will feature an Opening Ceremony sponsored by Mastercard, which will feature international artists such as rapper and Grammy winner Lil Nas X.
International personalities who were part of the League universe this year will take the stage, such as singer and producer Jackson Wang, who will perform “Fire to the Fuse,” a song created in a collaboration between Wang and Riot Games Music, which is the theme of the LOL Empyrean skins.
“I’m so excited to be a part of Worlds 2022. ‘Fire to the Fuse’ is a very powerful song and the Opening Ceremony performance will be legendary, I can’t wait for you to see it live,” commented Wang.
Louis Leibfried and Edda Hayes, members of the 2WEI collective, will also be present at the opening stage.
As already announced by the event’s organization, the song to be performed on the opening stage by Lil Nas X is “Star Walkin,” the theme of Worlds 2022.
It is worth remembering that, in addition to being the creator and interpreter of the theme song for Worlds 2022, Lil Nas X is ahead of the launch of a special skin, the “Prestige Empyrean K’Sante.”
This uniquely crafted item will be released on November 3rd to all Lol players around the world. Still, the items can only be unlocked after November 15th. This skin will not be available for direct purchase but can be obtained by playing League of Legends or Teamfight Tactics during the Worlds 2022 in-game event.
