Go, f0rest, Go – Gaules & mch Discuss a Possible Comeback of Legendary CS:GO Player

With the IEM Major 2022 just around the corner, two of Brazil’s biggest CS:GO streamers, Alexandre “Gaules” Borba and Jean “mch” Michel, discussed the possibility of Patrik “f0rest” Lindberg’s comeback to the competitive scene.

Based on a recent interview from f0rest with British analyst Duncan “Thorin” Shields, they discussed the possibility of this Swedish legend, who is a former player from Dignitas and Ninjas in Pajamas.

f0rest’s Interview Sparks Comments About a Possible Comeback

In a recent interview with renowned British analyst Duncan “Thorin” Shields, the legendary Patrik “f0rest” Lindberg, now 34 years old, highlighted that he still has a lot in the tank and can perfectly compete on the highest level of CS:GO.

In his own words, he said “put me in FaZe and I’m certain I would perform at a level that shocks people. I’m not done [playing tier-1 CS:GO]. At the same time, I understand if people have their doubts because I am 34, I have two kids, and a totally different scenario – but I’m still ready.”

He added that “I don’t think that people have explored what is possible within Counter-Strike, this is just the beginning. If you have Zlatan [Ibrahimovic] and [Cristiano] Ronaldo running around at 36-37, it’s not stopping me either.”

Expert CS:GO Analysts Share Their Views on the Scenario

The speech caught the attention of a broad range of streamers and fans in the global CS:GO.
While waiting for the IEM Major Rio to start in their home country, streamers Gaules and mch commented on some teams the player would fit in, which were Evil Geniuses, Team Liquid, G2 Esports, and Astralis.

“I think the guys will find a way to bring the f0rest to another team from the United States, if hallzerk did what he did for the COL, imagine f0rest on an EG Pink, EG White”, commented Gaules in a joking tone regarding Evil Geniuses, who divided the squad into three teams.

Gaules also commented on the possibility of f0rest joining Team Liquid in place of Joshua “oSee” Ohm” or Nicholas “nitr0” Cannella, who is the current captain.

Another Day, Endless Possibilities

On his point of view, mch commented on the possibility of f0rest joining Nikola “NiKo” Kovač at G2, a team that is currently experiencing problems and is out of the IEM Rio Major 2022. If the Swede went to G2, he would assume the role of captain, a space that is currently occupied by Rasmus “HooXi” Nielsen, who came from the Copenhagen Flames team.

Another team that the duo commented would be a good option for f0rest is Astralis, which is in a similar situation to G2. Outside of the Major, the Danish organization that dominated the CS:GO scene for years, hasn’t won a title since December 2020.

In f0rest’s own words during the interview, he clearly stated that “hopefully, I am given the opportunity for one last ride. Because I’m not satisfied with how it ended with Dignitas or NIP.”
