Falcons Put “Maka” On the Bench – The First of Many Changes to Come (Yet)

For anyone that has been following the IEM Road to Rio European RMR, it’s clear that Falcons has had a pretty bad performance. And because of that, they’ve put “Maka” on the bench, which is only one of the many changes to come as an effort to overcome their failed campaign in the event.

We’ll analyze this decision along with the other changes that Falcons might implement in the near future, and how they could improve their performance in the next events and tournaments.

Why did Falcons decide to put “Maka” on the bench?

Principally, because the French side failed to qualify IEM Rio Major. And due to their loss against Outsiders that left them out of the top 10 at the Europe RMR B tournament.

In fact, putting “Maka” on the bench is the third change in the last three months, and it only shows that Falcons cannot still come up with a good combination for their rooster. And it will only keep hurting their performance, because the fans agree that the changes are not delivering the promised results.

In case you didn’t see their match against Outsiders, here you have a good recap on it:

We can easily see that Outsiders had the upperhand over Falcons, and it’s mainly due to the poor performance by the AWP. And that’s the reason why “Maka” is out of the main lineup.

Who will replace “Maka”?

The one to replace “Maka” is gonna be “Kyojin”, who has been on the sidelines for the last three months due to a hand injury. As the new AWPer for Falcons, fans really hope that this change will do the trick.

Nonetheless, some rumors point out that the replacement will be “Nivera”, but that’s still yet to be seen. However, the fans would be pretty happy to see “Nivera” take “Maka”‘s place, since he has proven to be an excellent player.

Without taking the rumors into account, the surep ick is “Kyojin” and we only have to wait a few days (even hours) for the team to confirm it.

For now, this is the projected rooster while Falcons introduces the new changes:

  • Ali “hAdji” Haïnouss
  • Jordan “Python” Munck-Foehrle
  • Nathan “NBK-” Schmitt
  • Kévin “misutaaa” Rabier
  • Jayson “Kyojin” Nguyen Van
  • France Steeve “Ozstrik3r” Flavigni (coach)

Will this rooster bring better results? Only the next matches will tell!
